I had subscribed to Yahoo sports SMS notifications almost a good 5 to 7 years ago, and then turned it off for good - as these text messages were playing the same role as Kramer with Seinfeld and the Mets...you get the drift. In the age of TiVo, I seldom get a chance to watch a game live.
Well...as it turns out, the TEXTs magically re-appeared last year, and much as I tried to turn it off by logging into my Yahoo profile, I just couldn't.
Hmm...frustrating to say the least.
Well - just found a simple way to stop SMS
To unsubscribe or stop SMS messages simply reply to the received message with 'STOP'. This prevents any further unwanted messages. You can also try STOP, QUIT, or END
