Seema speaks on 25 years of togetherness with Rishi Hi Friend, As I reflect on what Valentine's Day means to Rishi and me, I am grateful for the countless blessings we've shared in this journey of togetherness and love that began on Valentine's Day 25 years ago. There is far more to love than the romantic kind celebrated this day. For our family, love is about community and devoting ourselves to contributing to the lives of others. I am grateful for the example Rishi has set for our sons with his community activism. Rishi has been fighting for equality for all people, no matter where they are from, what they look like, what gender they identify as, what they believe, or whom they love. For Rishi, every minute in this congressional run is a labor of love for our country and community which have given so much to our family. Rishi would be honored to represent you in Congress, and to represent every person in this district who believes we should love one another and treat each other with compassion and dignity. With the election being 18 days away, we are counting on your support and vote If you are in CD18, call to action is to fill the oval with a blue or black pen (not red) as the picture shows Have a wonderful Valentine's Day, - Seema Kumar TEAM RISHI TREASURE CHEST (Click on any link below) | BlogThis!Share to FacebookShare to Pinterest

Rep. Anna Eshoo - 28th year in office - accepted $572,461 from the Telecom industry. Would she favor the people or the Telecom company with the merger? #1 recipient of healthcare money in Congress too...read on Hi Friend, Watch Rishi on Cenk Uygur's The Young Turks (4.6M subscribers) INVITATION: Town hall meeting in Campbell this Sunday @ 3:30pm to discuss the merger, healthcare, or the local challenges such as burglaries and car break-ins. RSVP http://rishikumar.com/santaclaratownhall The courts yesterday approved the T-Mobile and Spring merger. Now we are down to 3 major telecom companies. Does that favor the people? Isn't more competition good? Anna Eshoo flip-flopped on this "Big Telecom Mergers; Extols Virtues of Sprint, T-Mobile Tie-Up." Anna flipped her position on big telecommunications mergers, giving a glowing endorsement of a plan to merge T-Mobile and Sprint, the nation's third- and fourth-largest wireless carriers - scroll down to see how. Did you know that Anna has received $572,461 from the Telecom industry? The simple fact is, politicians who receive money from PACs and Special Interest Groups will pay heed to their request. Why? They are afraid of going against their donor groups, as these groups are usually "flush with money." These groups can quickly turn against politicians who vote against their interest by pumping millions of dollars to defeat them. We have many "bought and sold politicians" in today's world. Who do YOU want to work for you? - Did you know Congresswoman Eshoo is the #1 Big Pharma campaign recipient in United States Congress? - Have you seen healthcare legislation that she has passed or not supported? - Have you seen what voters are saying? https://rishikumar.com/voter_voice Quotes from a recent San Jose Inside article "The Fly" Quote#1 "But when the veteran lawmaker Rep. Anna Eshoo, had a chance recently to grill executives over the planned T-Mobile-Sprint merger, she positioned herself firmly in their corner by urging regulators to bless the hugely controversial $26.5 billion tie-up. Quote#2 Eshoo argued that shrinking the market from four to three major wireless carriers would incentivize 5G rollout and somehow boost competition (a claim belied by a half-century of telecom history, but sure). Quote #3 A few years before that, Barack Obama's DOJ sued to block AT&T's proposed T-Mobile acquisition; Eshoo applauded the move, saying it reflected her views on the need for "true competition." Quote #4 It's hard to imagine Eshoo buying her own rationalization. Maybe those $572,000 in career donations from Big Telecom made it easier to suspend scrutiny. Who can you trust? Rishi Kumar is unbought and has pledged to NEVER accept PAC money or Special Interest Group Money. Rishi brings a people-centric agenda. Don't we need elected leaders who will put people before the corporations? Robin Williams once said, "Politicians should wear sponsor jackets like Nascar drivers, then we know who owns them" Isn't it time someone brought a new vision, a new way for our big challenges? Hi Friend, Please attend our monthly town hall meeting on Sunday, February 16th, 1:30pm-2:30pm in Menlo Park. RSVP here to attend. Hope you found our first campaign mailer in your mailbox (along with the ballots) and planning to cast your vote. Tale of two very different candidate statements If you are still making up your mind, I highly recommend you read the candidate statements in your voter information guide. The contrast between the candidate statements is quite stark. Is healthcare a big challenge of America? Read on... You deserve a congressman who is working for you, not for special interests and for lobbyists AND willing to take on the tough challenges. I challenged the San Jose Water Company to successfully reject, reduce or suspend 7 water hikes, and have dropped burglaries by 41%. My neighbors in Saratoga re-elected me with the most votes in city history. Rep. Anna Eshoo's ballot statement references 40 bills in her ballot statement - but th list of accomplishments for her 28 years in office is missing. What did these bills provide for our district? If Rep. Eshoo's goal is to promote healthy families as she claims, why has she sponsored legislation that increases the price of drugs? Why has Anna accepted more Big Pharma money than any other US Representative? Pharmaceutical companies keep raising the prices of life-saving medications, and Anna Eshoo, the chair of the House Health Subcommittee, has not stopped them. My ballot statement identifies the current challenges while presenting bold ideas and a new vision to benefit Silicon Valley and our country. My plan to address the housing shortage and traffic congestion in Silicon Valley includes a cutting-edge, eco-friendly, tunnel-based transportation system that will reduce commute time to less than 21 minutes between 21 counties, making a broad range of affordable housing options available to every resident. This will expand Silicon Valley's innovation economy and much needed housing throughout this Mega Silicon Valley region - not just here in Silicon Valley. Congresswoman Eshoo wants to increase housing in every city. Anna wants to work "with cities to satisfy their Regional Housing Need Allocation goals for construction of housing, including affordable housing." If that happens it will increase development projects in every city. I do not support that. Does Anna support SB35 and SB50? I do not! I am for preserving local control over housing. Congresswoman Eshoo's transportation agenda is stuck in a time warp. Anna's transportation agenda does not provide any strategic vision or long term solution for over 168,000 Bay Area commuters or millions of local commuters stuck in Silicon Valley's painful traffic jams. My vision transportation system plan addresses the current housing crunch and the traffic jams that gets worse every year. I have a plan. Just click on ARTICLES on my website to see the various position papers I have a plan to grow our economy, to reduce the cost of healthcare, to address air traffic noise, and to fix our problems with PG&E and their Public Safety Power Shut-offs (PSPS) that has conferred California "3rd world status." I will NEVER accept dark money. I will fight for YOU and create accountability in our system! Congresswoman Anna Eshoo accepts PAC and Special Interest Group money - that includes PG&E contribution. That is why the political pundits have declared me to be a serious challenger in this race. I am proud to be one of the few candidates for congress - the only Democrat in this race - who refuse Special Interest Money and rely on people power to fund this campaign. I work for your interests, not special interests. I humbly ask you to stand with our campaign for change. Can I count on your vote?
